Hazen Middle Level on VPR

This afternoon, Hazen Middle School students tuned in to Vermont Edition, a  VPR radio segment on hunger in Vermont. The presenters shared that 13% of all Vermont households are food insecure. More than 25,000 Vermonters under the age of 18 don’t have regular access to nutritious food. In addition to researching solutions to fighting hunger in Vermont, our students have led a canned food drive, are currently leading a school-wide coin drive, and built 15 community garden beds for Hardwick residents

Students posted questions on the VPR website, through twitter, and even called in during the program. Tune it at 7pm tonight  to 107.9FM, 88.5FM, or go to VPR.net to hear how Hazen is involved in the fight against hunger.
